who says!
Saturday, June 2, 2012 @ donations.
today i went out for a flag day event.
from 9am to 1pm, i stationed myself at a junction in Ang Mo Kio.

I noticed a few things. interesting details.

People would originally look like they were going to brush past and ignore me,
but when I ask them a little "Hi, would you like to..."
Before i even finish, it is as if with words spoken, they suddenly want to donate and start fishing for coins.
Maybe it's a case of guilt for they do not want to seem bad by saying no, especially after i have asked. Hmm.
When i have not asked yet, thy can go along feeling like they did not do anything but it is okay. Curious how people act.

Another lady came up to me, and as she donated in a small coin, she was saying something along the lines of "I donate, (I'm supposed to (?)).....I'm Christian mah..." I am kinda puzzled by that.
So because you are Christian, that is why you must donate? I am not sure, maybe i should look up on Christianity. Hmmm.

Halfway through, I had one single sneeze, and somehow it was like a bomb, and it set off a chain of them. As i just finished another fit of sneezes, i opened my eyes to find a lady putting a coin into my can.
She smiled at me kindly, "Sick and still out? Poor thing." .After i thanked her, embarrassed, she just smiled once more and said "god bless." She was a nice person.

My sneezing just went downhill as time passed, making me sure i had caught a cold. There was one uncle who donated some coins, and he asked me if i needed tissue. At that point i was holding a very tattered tissue to my nose. My only tissue too.
I admitted that i did need, and he readily gave me a packet of tissues. "Keep the whole thing" he told me with a smile. Haha, i guess i really did look pitiful. Maybe it helps in my "business". And to that uncle, thanks! I really needed the extra tissues. My nose was on full running mode by then.

There were many other small things that happened that i want to write down, but that will have to be another time, as my nose is still irritating the hell out of me. Time for more cetrizine and paracetemol. (oh look, i know the names. )

Adios!
